The Department of Physics at Yale offers a wide range of graduate and undergraduate courses in the various disciplines of the field, including five different introductory sequences for undergraduates, who may pursue either the B.A. or B.S. The graduate program provides research opportunities in numerous fields including atomic physics and quantum optics; nuclear physics; particle physics; astrophysics and cosmology; condensed matter; quantum information physics and applied physics.
